   This was a present for my brother’s 8th birthday. We really enjoyed playing it and it’s challenging at first when you don’t know what pokemon are included in the 60 cards that come with it. We have also played the original hedbanz game and found that once we were familiar with most of the cards it got a lot easier. The box only shows gen 1 pokemon but it goes up to gen 6. I’m not familiar with some of the more recent pokemon so I just had the other people I was playing with switch my card if it was past gen 4 but many of the cards are more recognizable pokemon such as starters, eevolutions, and legendaries.

   My kids love Hedbanz games so we got several different versions but this is the only one I have buyers remorse on. We like Pokémon and play the Pokémon Go app and Let’s Go on the switch but this game barely had any Pokémon we knew enough to identify by name or with any clues. My kids could do Pichu, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Eevee and maybe a few others. Most of the cards were ones from different regions so the game was only played once for about 10 minutes and was then boring for us. I thought it would be mostly the original ones like you first get in Pokémon Go but there were only a handful of those so I was disappointed. Especially for the price because it’s 3x more expensive than the regular version. Just make sure you and whoever you’re playing with are very big Pokémon fans and know lots of different regions if you’re going to get this.

   What can I say, it’s the Pokémon edition! What’s cool about this game is it mixes your oldschool favorites with the newer XY Pokémon, so the kids had a blast making fun of my wild guesses. I was the coolest mom in the world and the kids were happy! Nothing like fun, cheap, family entertainment!

   Perfect gift for a pokemon fan. Be warned. There are pokemon from a variety of generations so if you do not know all of then or only follow pokemon go, there are some in this box you will not know.

   Our kids love Pokemon. They eat, breathe, and sleep Pokemon. And they are masters as this game. Now, we parents struggle a bit more, as our knowledge just barely gets into the second generation of Mons, but it’s still a lot of fun!

   Love playing this game. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be. Which is a good thing, so we don’t run through the game and it become boring. Anyone who is a Pokemon fan will love this.

    Bought this as a gift for my nephew. It was a huge hit. A great way for the 10 year old to play a family game with his younger siblings and everyone has a great time. Good way to get your Pokémon crazed kid off the tablet or away from his cards for some family time.
