   The product is amazing. The figures are very detailed and it amazes me how well it turned out. I didn’t expect it to look exactly like the photos show. I had a slight issue with the package but it was resolved very fast.

   Product came as advertised. The color contrast between the white and the green pieces was good (although i would have to assume that varies based on the batch of rocks the manufactures are working with). The set is a good weight and the set feels solid, both board and pieces. It is clear these are hand carved pieces and therefore have a fairly limited uniformity, especially with the more complex pieces to carve, like the knight. I was fine with a little variation in the pieces but I do have to say that one knight had a slightly uneven base making it sit slightly crooked on the board, and the other knight seemed to have a chipped ear.

   Overall though, I am happy with my purchase, as is my girlfriend (whom I purchased this for as a gift). I would recommend it to others so long as they are ok with it not having completely uniform pieces. I think the uniqueness of the pieces pairs well with the uniqueness of the rock it is carved out of and am excited for it to be not only an intellectually challenging game for my girlfriend and myself but also an artistic centerpiece in whatever room we decide to keep it in.

   This is a beautiful chess set, well worth the price. The marble striations are unique and captivating and the design overall is just absolutely gorgeous. The board and the pieces are heavy enough we can set it up and play on the bed. The box provided for storage is slightly chintzy, I would have preferred something other than velcro closures and the material it’s made of is a bit flimsy – but it fits together well and the organization is carefully thought out. I can’t complain since the set itself is so great…I don’t know why, but finding a good, unique chess that’s as solid as this one was a pain in the a** – I’m picky about chess and don’t like anything with a hint of shoddy manufacture. Fortunately this set lives up to the photos. There’s no felt on the bottom of the pieces but after playing the board shows not even a tiny sign of scratching. A great value and I highly recommend it.

   The colors of the pieces are not very different making it difficult to distinguish between green and white.
   I also am going to have to purchase felt feet to go on the bottom of the board so that it doesn’t scratch my table.
   It is very pretty and incredibly heavy. I wish it had a case so that it doesn’t have to stay out all the time.

   und man muss ca 24 € Zoll bezahlen weil das Spiel aus den USA kommt und das ist nicht ersichtlich wenn man es über boardgamesweekly.com bestellt.

   I wanted a chess board, but I wanted something that would stand out. This delivered. The craftmanship is there, the pieces are a good weight, and the aesthetic is awesome. I’m considering adding some thin cork to the bottom of the pieces, or felt maybe, because a few of them like to spin after you set them down. It doesn’t detract from the game any, it’s just a personal preference. It’s a good buy for personal practical use, a gift, a decorative piece, or whatever.

   I gifted this set to my man. The first set was no marble really and didnt look anything like the pictures, so yes I was upset. I emailed the company and explained to them the situation, gave them the date and order number of when I purchased the set. They sent another set out in a matter of days. I really appreciate the company for making things right. I also love the quality of this set. To me it doesnt seem cheaply made.

   Chess board has a hole drilled into the bottom left corner for no obvious reason. Not broken but deliberate. Spoils the look of the whole set. Very disappointed as was a birthday gift so returning for a full refund. The pieces and the case were fine. Just the board.

   The chess board has now been replaced with a new one, undamaged. Service after contacting the company was good.

    I would recommend it Is a beautiful chess set and looks amazing in my living room (would add pic but i need to dust) my green pieces are more of a translucent pale lime green with brown layers slightly different than what is shown in the image but i imagine they vary due to the hand crafted nature of the pieces, has some real weight to it so not good for travelling, but it’s worth just having on display, the box it came with was different than the blue one advertised I’m not sure If it’s regionally based or something i was slightly disappointed but ultimately its the centerpiece of my living room table and I don’t plan on having it boxed very often so it’s no big concern to me but something to be aware of if your ordering this chess set, it all turned up in excellent condition with no damage though they do give a good window to replace broken parts if needed
