I enjoy playing this game when I want to roll some dice, use printed attributes on knight cards, and engage in a light hearted duel. The timed rounds give it an edge that challenges one to make quick decisions about which dice to refill and which to keep.

With a major caveat: you have to be into timed mechanics. If you’re the type to slowly think about every decision, this isn’t for you. But if you like fast, frenetic action, and rolling a lot of dice, I couldn’t recommend this more. And for the price? You get a lot of game between all the modules.

Was looking for a single player game and glad I stumbled on to this one. It can definitely be difficult if your dice rolls aren’t going very well, but of course that is what makes it challenging. There is enough variation in the game, especially with the expansions included, to make it different each time with extended replay-ability. The companion app from the developer is also a nice addition.

I have bought this game knowing I had to ask Renegade the replacement card set. It arrived in 3 days, perfect customer support. The game is FANTASTIC. I enjoy after dinner, when the kids are off to bed, taking some time to relax in these stressful Corona virus days, with a solo game. For me his type of game does not have to be too long, I don’t have to spend 20 minutes to set up and it has to be challenging (but not impossible). So far I played just 2 expansions (Dragonling and Sun/Moon) and they both added even more fun. The supporting App is not necessary but it adds a lot of atmosphere. Thank you Renegade, you rock! Looking forward the next release of the Solo Hero Series coming soon from what I have heard…
