   I played this game with my parents when I was young and had not played in a long time.

   When my niece and nephew were coming for a visit I decided to pick up a couple of board games, and of course Risk was one of them. It was the one they enjoyed the most and we spent hours in the evening after dinner playing.

   It was interesting to see how they developed strategy and understanding of the game over the course of a couple of days and their game play improved. For some reason the other games I bought were not as interesting (or interesting at all) and then this became the only one we played.

   Well worth having a copy for old times sake or when you have visitors of any age.

   Chess cannot be compared to any Strategy games.. ever. But, if I chose one, it would be Risk. I own it for past 5 years and had lot of fun with friends and family playing this game. You might want to make few home rules once you play a lot and it gives whole new twist to original game.

   Few home rules you might want to add is to allow attack from multiple regions or to be able to continue attack from other different regions.

   Best strategy is to concentrate army and capture small continents like Aussie, Africa or South America and build base from there on.

   Playing with ‘Missions’ in this game enhances the excitement and induces suspense as well.

   If anyone likes to play Chess or Bridge; Risk is MUST OWN game.

   This is a fantastic game to get family and friends blood boiling. I love this game but I was disappointed that this version, newly packaged, still had pieces that were broken. I stupidly bought this version when I should have just gotten the newer version Because it’s cheaper. Just but the new version and don’t get this one because it’s not actually new

   Classic game, for some reason ours had a lot of lint and hair on the inside of it and only a partial amount of the plastic soldiers were wrapped in plastic, others loose.

   I recently bought the most up to date edition of risk and was disappointed by the way the cards worked. I shelled out quite a bit of money for this copy, hoping it was like the risk I knew, and i was not disappointed. This is far superior to the edition currently available in that the risk cards get turned in for increasingly larger amounts of reinforcements. This crucial part of the game does not exist with the most recent edition. This edition is worth it, it’s in great condition too.

    very nice quality, and i can honestly say that it is exactly what i was expecting. when i was searching for a game of risk, i wanted one with the actual soldier molds. and with this product, that is exactly what you get. my only problems are, they dont give you a good way to store all of the pieces, with kinda sucks. but also, though this isnt the product’s fault, i didnt realize how tedious it would be to maneuver the little men. i can honestly say after playing with this, i much prefer the usual representations of the armies rather than the actual armies themselves. the little blocks or triangles that most risks have you play with are much simpler and easier to hold on the territories, and easier to store and keep track of.

    you will get exactly what you are after with this, but my opinion is that you should really try to alter what your after. go with the army representations. these soldier are very tedious to work with.
