   Our family loves strategy board games and this Risk is among the best. The legacy format works great and provides a whole new fresh twist on Risk while not sacrificing the core gameplay of the original Risk (unlike Shadow Forces!). We’re now on our third copy, even though you can continue to play any one.

   I grew up playing the classic RISK in the 80s, and loved \ hated it. Short version summary: RISK: Legacy fixes all the issues with the original and improves on several aspects. If you love the idea of RISK but hate the occasional 6 hour game of back and forth, this version is for you. Recommended to play 15 times, we played 30+ times through on our first board, just bought a 2nd copy to start playing again with a new set of people! Highly recommended.

   I can’t say much detail about the actual game as it was bought as a gift for my 13 year old. But what I can say is he’s played this with his cousins for hours and they all have enjoyed it. It isn’t a quick game and you may need an adult to help with instructions but the strategy side of the game is very engaging. Great quality. I would say this is for serious strategy game players.

   I was not expecting this when my son asked for this for Christmas. It is a fun spin on classic risk. You get to influence the way the game is played over time with the ability to choose special faction powers and augment the rules as additional games are played. I look forward to future games

    We got this for our risk loving son for his birthday. It’s a great family game. It takes the long hours out of risk and has different objectives. It also helps some members feel less attacked bc of missions and how the game is played. It’s great and lots of fun.

    Bought this prior to company visiting over holiday weekend. We are all very familiar with Risk and legacy games but hadn’t tried this one. Ended up playing 5 sessions over the holiday and everyone was sad to have to put thus aside until next get together. I can quibble about the point system and the way it changes how classic Risk plays but there are several positive arguments to consider as well. I think for many the legacy rule set creates an interesting and different feeling which plays well.

    For veteran Risk players I think there will be opinions on both sides regarding the legacy edition. For those new to Risk I think the game serves as a good gateway into legacy games as the rules are fairly straightforward.

    Great game and great packaging. I got a defect and some of the unlockable features were swapped around in each other’s packaging. fun game but it takes forever haha!

    The 5 stars is for the game! It’s fun and nice group board game. So different than regular Risk, it’s fun and so many different way to play.
    Yet, I will give boardgamesweekly.com -5stars. Look at the picture and you will know. The product arrived with minor damage. As all board gamers know, we are not just purchased the game for fun only, we would like to collect them as well. How would a board gamer will collect a board game with damage box? I hope boardgamesweekly.com Customer care will do something and start monitoring of this issue. Since this is not my first time received a product with damage box/package.
