   The game is in very good condition, but it did not came with the die-rolling board. It wasn’t detailed in the description that the game was incomplete. It was described as collectible. It can’t be collectible if is not complete.

   Main reason for me to get this is the original 3 minute timer. You get cheaper versions but the electronic timer is the best. There is a newer version that has an hour glass that i hate. This one is twice the price but the electronic timer is the best.

   This is a slightly newer version of the Scattergories that has been loved for ages. The cards are a bit updated, including categories like ‘website name’. The timer is obnoxious and nerve wracking (which it is supposed to be!). You can set the timer to 1, 2, or 3 minute intervals, it requires 2 AAA batteries (obviously, not included). It does have an ample pad of writing sheets, and includes those stubby little pencils that you get at the golf course (and nobody ever uses, they’re terrible!). There’s not a whole lot else to the game. Category cards, writing paper, folders (to keep your answers hidden), the huge die, and they do include a piece of cardboard (mousepad sized) to roll the die on…it could damage nice wooden tables as it’s so heavy). It took about 5 minutes to get everything set up the first time, I think future games would take about 45 seconds or so. GREAT game!

   Mind boggling. You have a few minutes to think of words from a set of 12 categories all starting with the same letter. Try to think something creative and unique that the others won’t guess as well. Double letters like ‘Captain Crunch’ will earn you double the points.

   I was playing it yesterday with a group of 8 people. The game comes with only 6 pads and 6 sets of cards so we decided to team up in pairs. It worked out better than expected. We rolled the lettered-die, set the timer and ran to our corners.

   I somehow missed out on this awesome game until now, it is so fantastic.

   I decided to buy it before a family vacation, and it arrived just in time. The only problem is that the included timer does not work, I rated down for durability as the brand new item is non-functioning, but I also didn’t try to return it since I was leaving for my trip, and the game of course works just fine with the timer on my cell phone or a kitchen timer. I’d actually prefer that it have an hourglass timer really, that way even if the timer did work I wouldn’t have to deal with batteries.
