   If Catan and Risk had a baby it would be named Scythe! This board game is a ton of fun and my families new favorite game! The board game pieces are very good quality and the gameplay is just unreal and exhilarating! The first game takes a long time and it’s hard to learn all the rules at once but don’t give up because after that it’s a breeze. I recommend you YouTube the tutorial on how to play and or play the Steam version, both of those helped us learn faster and easier. In this game you farm materials and can go to war against other players, there is so much more to it then that though. I’ve owned the game for a year and I now own all expansions because I’m in love. If you want a game you can get addicted to, then this is the one!

   What a great game. Yes it takes some time to understand it, and even more to master it, and sometimes even more to explain it to someone who wants to play with you, but man is it amazing. Every playthrough is like a new book. Fully emerges you in the world of Scythe.
   Big win for me is you don’t need dice to play. It is turn based.
   My only wish is that the pieces were more than basic wooden shapes. Would have added a lot of character.

   Being a person that recently got into the hobby of board games after playing Catan with friends, this game caught my eye immediately. It’s a fantastic game, with enough complexity to keep multiple playthroughs competitive and interesting. The character and mech peices are intricate and detailed, and the overall design of the board and cards is beautiful and vibrant. Due to lockdown, we have only played this game among 2 players, but I can’t wait to play this with more people, although I may need to get the extension for the board. Even though the learning curve is a bit steep for new players, it is still a game that all board game lovers should have in their collection!

   This is an impressive board game. There are a lot of moving parts to win the game, but it is well worth it. I purchased this game for my 12 year for her birthday who loves competition board games. She loves it. The detail and quality of the game is amazing, well made and very well thought out. Highly recommended for advance game players. Only challenge is learning the rules and understanding on your first go… but you get the hang of it once you get started. Love the game so far.

   I bought this in November 2020. But it took me 3 years to finally break it out and play it with a group. I planned a board game night with me and 5 buddies, I made sure everyone knew they needed to watch a few tutorials beforehand To be prepared. Tutorial YouTube videos definitely helped but we also found that, when in doubt, read the rule book or the reference cards. With the 6 of us playing for the first time, our game lasted about 6 hours. Which wasn’t surprising. But honestly it was super fun and we all loved the strategy. Eventually you get into a flow and the game makes sense. Settlers of Catan used to be my fav board game but this is definitely my new favorite. Looking forward to many years of gaming this gorgeous board game, I highly recommend it. Just be patient, it is worth it!
