I have loved all of the Valeria games I’ve tried so far. This game is no exception. It is fairly easy to learn, between watching a playthrough on YouTube and reading the rulebook. The rulebook is very clear and easy to read with great examples. The game is not hard, but requires a great deal of strategy on your part. Each decision you make could potentially make or break your score. Decisions such as; ‘if I go to this shrine next, I might miss the battle card that I want to purchase’. I have only played the game solo, but I love it. I lost by 2 points and that just motivated me to play again. The designers put a ton of variety in this game so it has incredible replay value. I also bought the expansion, but have not tried it yet. The AI opponent in the solo game is super easy to manage but a real challenge to beat. I highly recommend this game.
