Overview
- This bundle contains the Shadows of Brimstone core sets of City of Ancients and Swamps of Death. Miniatures supplied unpainted. Assembly required.
- Shadows of Brimstone is a fully cooperative dungeon crawl adventure that mixes Old West and Unspeakable horror themes. Players work together, taking on the roles of Old West heroes like a Gunslinger, Bandito, Saloon Girl, or Preacher to form a Hero Posse, exploring the dark mines around Brimstone, fighting demons and creatures that are entering our world through void portals.
- The heroes can even step through those portals when they find them, to explore the strange alien worlds on the other side! The game board is randomly generated, as you play, via a deck of Map Cards (one card associated with each board tile). The board tiles are double-sided with Old West rooms or passages on one side and alien worlds on the other!
- City of the Ancients features the U.S. Marshal, Bandido, Saloon Girl, and Gunslinger Heroes, enemies including Tentacles, Stranglers, Void Spiders, Night Terrors, and the Epic Goliath! Players can explore the Old West Mines or venture beyond our world into the Targa Plateau OtherWorld! This is the new Revised version of the Core Set featuring brand new plastic miniatures, updated rules, and components.
- Swamps of Death features the Lawman, Preacher, Rancher, and Indian Scout Heroes, enemies including Tentacles, Hell Bats, Hungry Dead, Slashers, and the Epic Harbinger! Players can explore the Old West Mines or venture beyond our world into the Swamps of Jargono OtherWorld! This game is awesome story-wise and gameplay is awesome. Lovecraft meets western and can go into multiple universes which is incredible and why I became clear interested in this game. My only complaint is I hate putting miniatures together. I know some people are into this and consider it part of the gaming experience, but I am not one of them. I wouldn’t mind having to put together the giant creatures, but having to put the standard size ones on bases and even more frustrating putting on their tiny heads and hands was enough to drive me insane and almost throw it away. But I endured and I am looking forward to painting the miniatures and playing the game.
