Arrived faster than expected, and in excellent condition!
My family are HUGE Star Wars fans, and I’ve recently introduced RPGs to my kids – in part to foster creativity and to channel my autistic son’s love of numbers & stats.
This game has been GREAT!! The narrative dice system, with its “Yes, but / No, and” style of task resolution really lends itself to cinematic moments, and encouraging players to be active storytellers, rather than simply having the GM waffle on.
My only gripe is that the game is focused SOLELY on Jedi/Force Sensitive characters – I realise that the other core rulebooks each focus on a different aspect of the character classes, but it would’ve been nice to have some provision to include some non-Jedi player characters (my son wanted to play a Droid)… that being said, I would HIGHLY recommend this game and I’m eager to get my hands on more!!

Very good product, high quality material and design, as in line with Fantasy Flight products.
If you own already the other two core manuals (Edge of Empire and Age of Rebellion), consider if to simply buy the PDF, otherwise – if you want to have the whole collection or this is your first book – then go for it.
It contains topics related to the mechanics of the game, so for who already as previous manuals there’s almost nothing new, but introduces more playable classes (mostly Jedi) and races, equipment, enemies and spaceships, other than force powers and a new metric (Morality) mostly related to the light and darks sides of the force, but that can be used also by non-Jedis characters.
All in all is a great book, definitely worth its money.

This book is one of three books, you don’t need the other three books as they all tell you the same rules. This book tells you how to make a Jedi character to play. The other books tell you have to play other classes, but they all have the same rules. This book lets you make a saber wielding, force using, death machine which is very fun and easy to learn. I recommend you buy a campaign book that goes with force and destiny as it gives you an adventure to send your players on and its keeps the Jedi powers in mind. This book is a great first start and I would play it with a group.

If you like RPGS and the Star Wars FFG system this book’s for you. It is beautiful with lots of color pages. It is clearly organized and easy to read.
There is good information on how to play the game as well as advice for game masters to build adventures, campaigns, and adversaries. As a core book, it is light on some features such as vehicles, but there is enough to get players going.

This book is built really well. Great quality, beautiful art, and very informative on how to play the game, even for those who might be new to RPGs (That being said, I’d still start with the beginner game).
The only minor downside is a slight knick in the front cover, but nothing close to being worth taking off a star. I can’t wait to run this with my friends.
Get the book! It’s great. Have fun and may the Force be with you.

This version of the Star Wars RPG Legacy is solid. I am a fan of D20 system , but this system developed by Fantasy Flight Games really is appropriate to the gameplay style of a Star Wars movie. It promotes action, with less concern about squares, position and rules and really drives the story. This makes running adventures much more fluid and fun. The talent trees are all about the force. I just wish they would have went in more depth about the Old Republic. Maybe we will see a book dedicated to the Old Republic. The new morale system works well for force users.
Cons: This book really doesn’t have much to offer except a few force users equipment pieces, the morale rule and the force talent trees. It seems almost a waste of to make a book this big for such small additions, but it does allow someone to buy just this book to play the game. No other books needed.

Brilliant book for those who enjoy the Star Wars universe and want to get into role playing games.
I love the layout of the book. It has all of the character creation parts in one section, the combat system in another and the ‘fluff’ comes in the last part of the book.
I know that the FFG Star Wars dice system is a bit wonky at first, but this book has some really good examples on how to read the dice, so it becomes clear to new players. The Dice System is daunting at first, but after a few tries, it gets easier and easier.
It was also was nice to have the book end on an introductory adventure for the players to start on. Most core game books do not do that.
Another thing that really stands out is the production value of this book. Full color throughout, easy to read print, and the art. Oh that art! The art alone is stunning and really can help you get into the mindset of playing Force and Destiny!
So if you just saw Star Wars and want to explore a bigger universe with your pals, THIS is the book for you!

Out of the three different core books so far this one has been our favorite. It might partly be because of all the force stuff though I would have to say that it is probably also due to the fact that in a way this is the core book 3rd edition. We ran the module in the back and continued with the one that comes with the game master screen. Made a fun couple of games and the module seemed to be better written than at least the Age of Rebellion core book module. I cant really compare it to the Edge of the Empire Module just because we haven’t run it yet. If you want a force heavy game this is the book to start with. That being said though there universal specializations in Age are nice to add to just about any character.
