Recommended white primer and then a thinned oil wash. From there use whatever Clone Legion markings you want

If you like building tiny, tedious models, this is your jam. Many pieces are not even designed to snap together or stay in place in any way while waiting for the glue to dry! This was for my 13-year-old son. He, I, and my husband all gave up within an hour. Wish I’d looked more closely before starting so we could have returned it.

These are easily some of the most fun to paint miniatures. I originally got a box of these as a gift to paint up for someone. Now I have my own box of these miniatures and they are looking fantastic. One of the biggest upsides about these clones is the fact that they are comprised of hard plastic. Those of you out there who have no idea what that means should be aware that hard plastic miniatures are not only more consistent in quality of the box but also have more defined details. While my favorite sculps for clone troopers will always be the phase 1 upgrade pack (more for the appearance of the clones and not the detail of the models themselves), these are absolutely stunning when painted. Due to their more defined details, these miniatures are easier to apply things such as washes and even contrast paints (haven’t tried them on these ones). The recesses are deeper and the small details stick out more. There’s just nothing to lose with these miniatures.
