I got this as a gift and it was well received.
It takes a lot of reading to understand the gameplay but once you got it, it’s a nice strategy game for 2. I would suggest you use a timing device to not let the game run for hours because one can spend a lot of time preparing the strategies. Also, the first time you will probably do it all wrong as some parts of the game doesn’t really affect one side or the other.
The standard risk definitely offers way more strategizing, especially when played with 3+ persons, but this one is based on Star Wars 🙂

I am not sure how much the dynamics of the game are different from the regular RISK game, as I haven’t played that for a long time, and now I purchased the Star Wars version right away. Either if it is just a regular RISK with Star Wars design, or a completely different game, it worth every penny. It is amazing how you can replay the final attack against the Death Star. As the fight goes parallel in 3 different areas, just like in the movie, you really need to keep an eye on all of them at the same time. Also you need to have a totally different strategy by playing with Rebellion or the Empire, which makes fun to play the game over and over again. The only downside is that it is clearly a game for two, not for bigger groups (which can be an advantage as well, as it is also hard to find great board games suitable for two only). Also the quality of the figurines, ships, tokens etc. could be better, maybe plastic or tin instead of cardboard (especially capital ships). And rebel ships are a bit too big, 5 X-Wings are hard to place on the tiny docks in the beginning. But these minor things are not affecting the game experience.

This board game is one of the most FUN I’ve had, and I’ve played a LOT of board games! It’s not Risk with a Star Wars theme, they reinvented Risk to utilize Star Wars scenarios. So it’s similar, but not at all the same as Risk. SO MUCH FUN! The only issue I have with the game is that it is quite a bit more challenging to win when you play as The Empire. The Rebels have a distinct advantage in the game, period. IF you make the right moves and get good rolls, winning as the Empire is entirely possible, but the game is stacked against them. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make the game more balanced concerning this, but haven’t done it yet because it’s just so much fun to play as-is. You can play either as a team of 2 against 2 or 1 against 1, so it’s a 2 or 4-player game. Each side (Empire or Rebels) have their own game paths and ships and the game always starts out with a specific setup. You have cards that allow certain actions, depending on which side you’re playing, you have to decide which strategy or combination of strategies you are going to use, then roll the dice to help determine the outcome. I HIGHLY recommend this game.

Jeu excellent, reçu en bon état. Seul soucis, pour les non-bilingues, il est entièrement en anglais, sans aucune traduction autre.
