   This is more of a comment of my experience with boardgamesweekly.com shipping this item. The book itself is of high quality and the rules system itself is one of the most enjoyable RPG systems I’ve used in decades. Blows the Saga edition right out of the water. I’ve had to order a FIFTH replacement today due to shoddy binding on the manufacturer’s behalf and/or boardgamesweekly.com cheaping out on shipping expensive hardcover books in cheap, soft mailing envelopes. The fourth book I received today looked like someone had tried to fold the back cover in half. Hopefully, I’ll eventually get a copy that’s NOT beat-the-hell-up by the time it gets to me less than 18 hours after I order it.

   400+ Pages! For a core rulebook it’s awesome and well laid out for players and game masters. To get up and running with a new group, I would recommend the starter game (which comes with an abbreviated rulebook). This will allow your group to step into a game and see how they like it before committing for a longer adventure or campaign. This rulebook is dense with great content. The rules are explained well with great examples. The strategic use of sidebars to enhance understanding or provide better context is artfully accomplished. The overall game mechanic for dice in this RPG is different from many D20 based RPGs and this book does well to help the GM understand the dice rolls and shape the narrative for the adventure. Overall, I am pleasantly floored by how well this book is put together. It is content rich. It is full of great art. Great examples. And as it is the basis of the game, you’ll need at least one copy for your gaming group as a reference. Game on!

   Like the title said, it was torn all the way down the spine when it was removed from the box. For an semi-expensive book, this should not be the case, especially for one that is going to be used repeatedly. Yes, we expect the covers to fall off eventually – several years from now. It should not be the case with a brand new book.

   This is exactly what I needed. I love these RPGs. There was no padding in the box so it looks like it bounced around a lot and all four corners are damaged a bit. Obviously still functional, but paying $60 for a book it would have been nice for someone to take some care while they boxed it up.

   I ordered this book right around release time and it showed up shortly there after. I purchased the book not as a RPG player, but as someone highly interested in the Star Wars lore that it offered. I am still in the process of reading through it but I have found the book very well written and the quality of the binding and pages to be very well done as well. Overall, I think this book will last me a good long time and maybe even some afternoons of play if I can gather up enough people to join me in the area!

   As an aside, I didn’t like the way that boardgamesweekly.com packaged the book itself, it came in a brown box that pretty much covered the book and a little extra. One corner had been completely smashed in and it did compromise one of the corners just slightly. It was not one of the binding corners so I let it go.

   El libro es de gran calidad como todos los libros de fantasy flight games. La edición esta muy cuidada al igual que los dibujos. Usa el sistema de “Star wars : Al filo del imperio” y no varia en nada, lo único que hace es situar la acción en otra epoca y lugar. El sistema no es el mejor del mundo pero tiene su cosilla. Recomiendo que si te gusta pero no lo tienes claro y no quieres hacer una inversión grande, que te compres cualquiera de las cajas de inicio que te vienen con todo lo necesario para poder empezar a jugar (incluso un juego de dados especiales, que no espaciales.. XD)
