   These are so good for the price. I got them as a placeholder until I could get a nicer set, but these will probably be all I need for a while. The weight and felt are really nice and they look and feel great. I like that they aren’t shiny at all and have a nice naturalness to them. There were a few scuffs on the dark pieces and I’m mildly concerned that the stain on the dark pieces could lack some durability. Also the top part of the king is glued on and has some globs of glue showing. Still highly recommend for an affordable solution.

   I just wish I would have read more carefully that it didn’t include extra queens. Just a heads up if for anyone who just assumed like me.

   … some regrets: no extra queens, which is kind-a standard, no box for storage (they come in a bag), and the finish is super dull — so I did a little polyurethane spray (see picture). As a final regret, the knights are stubby-blocky and do not resemble the picture (again, see picture).

   The pieces are uniform and well made for a 1.75 -2” square. The piece are well crafted, weighted properly, and feel nice to hold. The King is just over 3.75” and the knights are beautiful. Worth the money. Don’t hesitate to purchase. BTW: I tried four other less expensive chess sets before landing this set. The others were too small, weren’t weighted properly, and uncomfortable to use. Hope this helps!

   This is a very nice set. Matte finish. Obviously, these are not a match for the expensive sets, but they are perfect for me. They look nice, feel nice, and I must admit I like them more than those expensive sets that looks pretentious to me.

   Wow! Since the movie Queen’s Gambit came out on Netflix, this set has tripled in price!

   We had ordered a board that came with cheap pieces so we ordered these separately. As you can see in the video, these have a nice size and weight to them with a lovely green felt bottom. These feel very well built, the quality is exceptional for the price. Function as expected.
