   Quick pickup game with easy to play game mechanic ( pictogram indicators on the board corespond to actions you can do/ cars you can play). It’s not overly religious as in you don’t need to know the Bible to play it. Fun and competitive for all ages

   Acts is a great game that is not only fun to play but has so many spiritual applications that make real world sense. The way the Prayer points, miracles, praying, church building, and many other aspects of the game make for fun game mechanics. It takes a few plays to get the hang of things and build a strategy, and the staff at cobblestone does a great job of reaching out to make sure everything works. Great buy

   Finally a game with a great biblical theme! Definitely on point with the book of Acts. No you don’t have to know the Bible to play. Excellent game play, our family loved it. Would highly recommend it for gamers and newbies!

   It plays a lot like risk, it it is going to be a learning experience, the instructions are a bit vague and there are no FAQs available online to clear up questions, but after u figure it out and go off a few assumptions it has the potential to be a great game

   The game was purchased with the Young Adult group at church in mind and is definitely a winner and will see replays. We added the Heroes of the Faith Mini-Expansion, which allows you to assume the role of a first century saint, and allows an enhanced ability which differs or each player. That ability, combined with a couple unique Spiritual gifts you acquire during the game, impacts your strategy for evangelizing the eastern Mediterranean. Clearly, the right mix of a Hero of the Faith with Spiritual Gifts can result in a hard to beat combination, but both those factors are random for each game. A “Worker Placement” game. There is strategy in deciding what order to perform actions – either to avoid losing out that turn to another player, or to prevent another player from having that unique action. There were a couple times where I planned to preach or build a church in Asia only to have my daughter beat me to it. In my first game I delayed getting Spiritual Gifts, and when I did the gift would have helped me with church planting but I had already completed all my churches. In this game I was foiled by another player preaching before I did which in hind sight delayed me from utilizing my hero’s unique bonus with preaching. We thought the color of the playing pieces might not be distinct enough, but it was a non-issue. There is also a Persecution Mini-Expansion, which we will try out the next time. It looks like it could slow down the leaders and make for a longer, yet closer game. We’ll find out.

   A very engaging experience. Lots of tough decisions but not difficult to play. The board is beautiful and organic. Worker locations don’t look forced and match the style of art. Components are all good quality.
