First, a little background: Our family consists of me and my wife at 43, our kids at 22, 21, and 16. My wife and I have read the book. The rest of the family as not.
We watched a video on how to play first and then ran through the instructions. Longer playtime games usually aren’t the biggest hit for our family, but everyone picked it up quickly and enjoyed the collaborative teamwork environment.
We’ll be playing it again soon and I hope the replay value is just as good.
Lots of fun! We hope there are expansions!

I actually haven’t opened it yet. I bought it as s gift for my husband. I wasn’t totally sure about the cost, it’s more expensive than any other board game I’ve ever bought. But looking at the contents, there’s a lot to it and the pieces have a lot of detail–it’s a true collector’s item. It’s beautiful and I have zero buyer’s remorse. I am so excited to give it to him, I know he’ll love it.

Fun, components are top notch, got some rules wrong in first playthrough, good co-op.

I liked the way this game handles Cooperative play in this game as it keeps everyone active throughout the game. There aren’t typically going to be any periods where one person is taking their turn and the others are just sitting there bored and waiting for their turn.
I would like additional modes or variations.
The only downside to increase difficulty is by simply ramping up HP of the main enemy and simply ramping certain enemy actions quicker.
I would like to see some other variations were to be introduced with potentially a different main villain, though I understand using the source material it doesn’t really work out.
Overall the game I’d give an 8 out of 10 as it is very fun and a great cooperative game.

Great production quality…seriously good. Game was easy to learn and fun to play but quickly felt as though you’d seen all that there was to see. After about 5 games it started to feel very repetitive.

We are huge Brandon Sanderson fans so my husband was so excited to receive this on Christmas! It comes with lots of durable pieces and lots of instructions. The game is ranks up in difficulty with 7 Wonders or Legendary. It is one you have to start playing to figure out all the logistics and it took a few times to get all the rules down. However, as a Reckoners fan it is so much fun and a good strategy game!
