   This game is unique in that it introduces a new method of play with the Pennsylvania map. On the Pennsylvanian map it introduces stocks which determine how many victory points you get at the end of the game. The rules are a little vague about wither or not you add up your trains that you place as well as the stocks at the end so after some debate we decided to just add up the stocks at the end which after we checked is the way that you play this particular map. Make sure you get as many stocks as you can and lay down early or you may get blocked and not be able to get to your destinations. The map of great Britain also had a unique twist in that you had to buy the ability to build trains into other countries. You start off in England but have to buy the ability to build into France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Also you can only build 2 train spots at the beginning of the game and you must buy technologies that allow you to build longer routes and to cross water and so on. The rules were laid out pretty well however you had to constantly look back at them which made the game rather lengthy. This expansion is by far the best one that I’ve played so far and I have played all of them. I wouldn’t spend $40 on it so if you can get it on sale like I did for $25 its worth it. If you love Ticket to Ride its a must have. If you are looking at what expansion to get for Ticket to Ride THIS IS IT!

   Love this expansion, especially (and surprisingly) the Pennsylvania variant. I bought this mainly because it features familiar local places names which I thought would be fun for the kids, and to add some additional variety to our Ticket to Ride games (we used to play Europe with the 1912 expansion) of course, but ended up really loving this version.

   The UK variant, which was the primary reason for buying, is nice but feels like a quite a lot of hassle for not a lot of additional fun. The Pennsylvania version with it’s railroad stocks system though is really great and has quickly become my favourite version of the game, the wife and kids love it as well. What would really make this version perfect for me is if you could play it on the Europe map with original European railroad companies, but that’s for a future version perhaps 🙂

   In any case, great expansion, absolutely worth the money, especially if you can buy it with a good discount!

   All 50 of the destination tickets for the Pennsylvania expansion are misprinted. Though the cards are legible and the game is overall fun, the quality of it is poor.

   After spending a year in England and traveling over UK we were excited to try out the Ticket to Ride UK. This is a expansion board which means you need one of the original Ticket to Ride boards (US or Europe). There are a few new rules to this board which include concession cards (like a visa needed to enter another country) and technology cards. These took the game to the next level. It took our family a bit to figure out the game and we watched a few videos on how to play. I see this game staying in our family game night rotation!

   My brother and my sister (sil) introduced us to the original game and while I was extremely hesitant, I’m absolutely addicted and is a must play everytime we’re together so when I saw this, I HAD to get it! It’s all the right things!! You get new destination cards, 2 new boards and a fresh deck of colored. It’s the same game, with a fresh new spin/twist! It’s easy to pick up!! I will say, I think this one is a bit harder then the original, less double track options (making you go the longer routes) and longer routes in general (but worth more points)
   I’m glad I decided to buy it and recommend it to anyone looking to add to their collection!!

   Les deux plateaux sont très originaux et apportent une belle variante au jeu d’origine. Le Royaume Uni comme la Pennsylvanie se jouent avec des cartes actions ou technologie en plus des cartes de destinations ce qui complique agréablement la partie.

    We (mom, dad, 6 & 9 YO kids) played our first game with UK board and we really enjoyed it. The new technology mechanics of UK map makes building longer routes much much more difficult, so the overpowered US map strategy of just going for long routes is made difficult. This leads to more balanced game. The new rule were easy to pick up for 6 year old, and we will not need to revisit new rules in next play through.
