   Pros 1. LED Backlight feature that can make you can see the entire board. (No other LCD game has that) 2. Plays chime music after a game. 3. Has the 50 move rule. Cons 1. You need a screwdriver to install batteries. (Whatever happened to the simple finger clip that snaps in?) 2. Has NO 3 move rule. 3. *HAS NO BOARD FLIP FEATURE!* (This is where they failed. Neither the board nor pieces get flipped, if you want that, you have to do what the pictures show on here! Even that, the board nor notations give it justice. 4. There has been glitches of miss moves on here, but if you press takeback on it, then make the same move again, it’ll play correctly. I don’t know it’s ELO rating strength yet, I post it later on.

   I enjoy playing chess, but with a full board, 32 pieces, needing another person, and the stability sometimes you just can’t get in your fix. I’m not a fan of the chess apps and I don’t often have internet for playing on websites or online so this product is right up my ally. I’m no chess master, in fact I’m quite bad at chess but the computer difficulty can be anywhere from a simple casual game to a more serious one.

   Not a backlit screen which can be difficult to see. The stylus sometimes required harder presses to register. Didn’t seem to allow en passant either, or stylus just wasn’t registering correctly. Notable latency for computer to make next moves as well. Overall not worth the $30 price tag in my opinion. Ended up returning.

   I only know the basics of chess, and I hoped this might help me advance. And it might, but it seems like not a good sign when software as sophisticated as a chess program has bugs in the underlying move engine! Usually it’s fine, but I tried playing Library Game 2 (there are 100 stored chess midgames/endgames). I beat it as white and thought I’d try playing black. I was headed for defeat, and then white moved the king and it became a pawn! Then the pawn marched up and became a third queen and I was mated! Look at the photo: no white king! And white wins! How fair is that! I read a review on another site from 2007 that said the program never castles (though the player can) and no mention of cheating so it must be rare. But annoying! UPDATE: It has not cheated since but there are other annoying things. It had only a king left and only one legal move yet it took 10+ seconds to move! One game I was getting sick of it so I forced a repeat of the same moves 3 times: but no stalemate! Overall its play seems sound. UPDATE 2: OK, playing on level 1, it was moving faster than me and by midgame it had used 5 minutes. But now it’s in check and has about 5 possible moves, and it’s taken over an hour (according to its running time) for just this move. That’s very annoying. I’m dropping it from 3 stars to 2. Not recommended.

   きちんとチェスができる。ボタンが一切無くてタッチパネルで全て完結するのも良い。バックライトが明るくて見やすいが目は疲れない。表示も本体もまずまずの雰囲気です。駒の動きも分かりやすくて良いです。買うまで随分迷ったのですがもっと早く買っておけば良かった。予備機も欲しいが値上がりしてたのでしばらく見送りますがまた買いたいです。

   I think this is overpriced at $35, since its 2020 and most people will just play on their phones. However, this seller has these on E bay for $29.99. Even at $30, it’s still a little overpriced in my opinion, but if you like old school handheld games (like I do) you’ll get over, because the game functions very well and includes checkers, connect four, 20 chess levels and 100 chess challenges . Bottom line is, I don’t regret my purchase.

    I bought two of these computer chess. Sadly both have major problems. I bought the first one as a gift (left). I didn’t know till 2 week have past and now this problem. so, I decided to buy another one. this one (right) the letter are 100% unreadable. this is a embarrassment to those who are making these. this just proofs either they are not checking there work or they just don’t care
