   Great great deck building game. All four movies are included. Many reply options. Wife loves it and can be played ok with 2 people but 3 is about the sweet spot and four is good. Double tough with five. Expensive but hundred of cards great mat and many many wears to play. Try playing with every Ripley from each move for a fun variation. Get this if you like games.

   Many cards, 2 new scenarios, the hard mode, the soldiers and new characters… plus the queen mother. Listen to me if you like the base game this expansion is a must for the content and the increased replay factor of an already high longevity game.

   Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game is hand down the best game in the Legendary system of games. It’s intense, and draws you in just like the Alien movies did. This new expansion adds some new and engaging innovations, while still offering the same intensity and fun. First of all there are many new avatar/role cards to choose from, each with their own unique abilities. There are also new kinds of strike cards, new locations, and new alien decks to play out. There are several new key words as well, like “flying”, which allows aliens to fly above the complex, and “enhanced”, in which players draw a hero card from the barracks, and whatever symbol it boasts then corresponds to some special ability on the alien card- giving the game and that scenario tons of replayability. There are some new key words that first appeared in Legendary Encounters: Firefly, like ranged, which allows aliens to strike from the complex instead of the combat zone, and stationary, in which the alien card does not move through the complex when revealed. The biggest innovation here is the ability for one player to play as the alien queen, turning the cooperative game into an all on one game (the core game has something similar, but not nearly as much fun). The queen player has his own player mat and deck of cards that he can recruit, and he can spend attack to attack a player directly, force him to discard card, add a card from the hive deck to the complex, or steal a card from the HQ that will later attack players. Playing with the queen player is a lot of fun, but know that this game is very hard even without somebody actively working against you. Playing against the alien to win is almost impossible, so the rulebook offers a scoring system depending on how far the humans got in the game. This game has always been more about the journey, however, and what an absolutely fantastic journey it is. Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game is probably my favorite deck builder of all time, and this expansion adds a lot of fun, new stuff for your game. Do you need it? Of course not. If you like the core game fine as is, then don’t bother. But if you’re like me, and enjoying having a ton of options for your games, and enjoy watching each scenario evolve in its own way, I think you’ll really enjoy what this expansion has to offer.    Great expansion! A bunch of stuff but the stand out to me is the two new locations and the three decks for each. New characters, avatars, drones, strikes, and playable queen for PvP.

   This is the first deck building game I’ve ever purchased. Not my first time playing. The packaging is simple and the play mat is awesome. Its like a giant mouse pad. The art on the cards are very amusing and very brutal, just how you should want it with the Alien series. The only thing I don’t like is organizing all the cards into the specific decks. It took a few hours just to be able to set up the game! But once the cards are organized, the game offers alot of deviders. So its one and done. Just wish the cards came organized! Great time. I do recommend

   What a great expansion! This expansion allows for another player to play as the Queen complete with her own decks and playing mat. I typically play this game solo though so you can utilize most of the cards in that way as well. If you are familiar with Legendary Encounters then you could certainly come up with some variations for many of the cards too. It’s a lot in the box and worth the money no matter how you play the game.

    Great game but not everyone will like it. The game mechanic is fine but this game kicks butts. We have never win once and it can be very discouraging.

    I have to recommend this expansion. There is a ton of content. I already love LE Alien. This expansion adds more drones, strikes, and locations. My favorite part, the addition of a Hard Mode for all previous locations and Soldiers. If you want to amp up the difficulty level for the base game, you must have this. I am a player that doesn’t want to win all the time. These new materials will ensure that doesn’t happen often. All of the expansion cards will fit in the base game box. There are enough dividers for the new cards. I could not get the new mat to fit in the box though.
