   This is a large, well made hard cover tome for the 40k universe pen and paper role playing game, and it is the most current edition and version of the 40k rpg line up.

   This features everything you’d need to learn to start up a game, including how to make characters, different gear and weapon stats lists, some pre-made scenarios, etc.

   The book itself is well made, with cool artwork and lore throughout.

   Some don’t like this series as they say it’s too broad with the prior RPG outings being a bit more focused, but this is just a larger sand box with the tools to make whatever setting or style you want for your campaign, without being confined to specific niches like prior RPGs in the 40k universe.

   This is just the rule book, You’d still need some dice, at least, to begin play.

   The game is wonderful and the rules are well written. Very good if you are a fan of the 40k universe.

   The price was very reasonable and the product was delivered way ahead of schedule in a bubble wrapped package inside a properly sealed box. Would have given a 5 ⭐️ rating but for the following: 1. There is some minor damage to the top right corner of the book cover. 2. There are some bent marks at the top right corner for about 80 pages (from page 70+ till page 150+). Thankfully these are minor and do not seem to have obvious fold / crease marks. These are not caused by shipping as the box and the bubble wrap are both undamaged. Hopefully the seller implements more stringent QC checks prior to shipping.

   This is a great book for learning the rules for Warhammer 40K. The book I received was packaged wonderfully. Unfortunately, the one I received must have been dropped multiple times as the corners of the hard cover were damaged. For the price of the book it should have been in pristine condition. Just getting to writing this as life got in the way. Normally I would have returned for a replacement due to the damages.

   Book was new but had some sticky stuff on the back like a drink was spilled near it at some point. I haven’t read it but thumbed through it. It seems like 40k with the options to play any size squads you want with options for campaigning. My introduction to warhammer was in the 90s with elves and orks via wargaming. My introduction into 40k was through fantasy flights Dark Heresy, then Deathwatch, Black Crusade, Rogue Trader, and Only War. The fantasy flight series has a d&d feel while this seems to have less depth. If you want depth go fantasy flight and pdf’s because it’s out of print and expensive in book form. There’s skill tree’s galore, squad tactics, solo tactics and so much more. If you want something simple go this route

   If you’re playing Wrath and Glory I cannot imagine not having one of these reference books on hand. Sure, a PDF is nice, but there’s nothing better than having a real book in hand to look up rulings or just read up on the history and lore. A huge amount of time and effort goes into this, and the investment is warranted. GREAT!
