   Honestly, I miss the older D&D miniature packs when it was a separate game that also had a function in your table top game… for the price getting four random figures Per box is ridiculous…

   An 8-Count Booster pack of new pre-painted miniatures featuring creatures from Volo’s Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes. The work on a 25mm grid system and are great for your D&D campain for 5th Edition or any Edition. Out of the 32 minis I received in this Booster Brick, I received only one duplicate. There was a nice mix of small, medium, large, and huge creatures in my pack include minis considered to be common, uncommon, and rare. None appeared damaged or flawed in any way. I also purchased the Elder Brain with Stalagmites and I am extremely happy with that as well. The Elder Brain is a great addition to my minis. Even more since I have been planning an encounter with a Mind Flayer colony for the group I DM. It even comes with a set of 6 stalagmites in 3 different shapes. If I could make one improvement to the set it would be to make the stalagmites bigger but they are really secondary to the Elder Brain. If you have been looking for minis for Volo’s and Mordenkainen’s, or just looking to add to your personal assortment, these should be a great addition.

   My wife and I are both please with our purchase. We had 3 exact duplicates and 2 other pairs that look similar but are different. None of the miniatures were broken and we got all the appropriate sizes as advertised. I know some people said it looked like their packaging had been opened but ours did not, everything looks great!

   I’ve been playing D&D for decades and got these as a gift for myself to update some very old models and figures. Disappointed to say the least. First, no real “heroes” in the group. There are two models that could be used as a hero if you really squinted your eyes. I could look past this if… Many models are tiny or junk. When 6 of 32 models are smaller then your fingernail it definitely does not give a good value for cost, especially at around $100+ for the 8-pack of boxes. Paint was slop and go tones. The models themselves were small, no real weight to them. Compared to the very old runs of models I am used to playing with i would rate the newer models as poor. A few sculpts and paint were nice, the gnolls and banderhorb being the real standouts. Probably would recommend buying unpainted minis and just doing a few hours of painting. Nothing in these sets is unreproducable with paint quality and you can get what you will need.
