   I chose this item because of its nice solid wood frame with push through drawer. The playing surface is pressed board but still nice. And real glass marbles! I seriously dislike plastic pegs. If I could change one thing, it would be a bit wider spacing between marble holes in the game board. The tight spacing makes it easy to bump other marbles. Otherwise, beautiful game board.

   The Chinese checker board is well made and I like the drawer and I like buying from a small business. That being said be sure to look at its size. The board does hold regular size marbles but they are very snug making it really hard for a youngster (my granddaughter is 6 years one) to play without bumping into and rolling the other marbles. She has a lot of finger dexterity , doing quite well with games like Operation for example that require it. It would just have been a more suitable purchase had the board been 1” wider in diameter and I would have gladly paid the difference in price for a slightly larger board of same quality

   This is the most beautiful board game! Such great quality, all edges are smooth, solid wood (not composite), and the drawer fits all the pieces perfectly. I accidentally bought two different sets at the same time and the quality of this one significantly outshines the other.

   This Chinese Checkers set is beautifully crafted and has a great little storage compartment built in for the marbles. I loved ours so much that we purchased one for my 9 year-old granddaughter’s birthday and she loves it too! Very happy!

   Item is a Christmas gift and it came with the box dented up and torn. The item itself seems to be ok. It is a bit smaller than I’d like and I can see there being issues with the marbles being too close together for grabbing just one. The marbles are fine but they seem to need a good cleaning. I don’t think my grandson will care as much about this stuff, but when you pay for something you expect it to be received in good shape and not torn up. The fault is with the packaging from boardgamesweekly.com – the item was in a box by itself with no air pockets, bubble wrap, or paper around it so I’m sure it happened during shipping as it was being tossed around.

    Nicely made. The only thing i dislike is the marbles provided are way too big. Recommend ordering 14mm or 12mm marbles. I have already ordered smaller marbles and am going to try some pegs as well.
