   Mine came with holes for games won and the holes for the starting position are positioned inside the pegging ring so for me this is much better than what is shown by the manufacture and why I am giving it five stars. Other than a very slight lacquer run on the left and right lower edges of the top the craftsmanship was good. Size is nice for travel but not sure the wood construction would hold up on a backpacking trip. It fits into a Crown Royal bag nicely if your looking to upgrade the bag it comes in. I bought this one as a gift and have no qualms gifting it and now may have to buy one for myself.

   The family loves to play cribbage and we take a small board with us everywhere. I was in search of a new board and this one fit all my requirements. We had used several boards that had one annoyance – pegs that rolled around loose and got lost, loose latch that allowed the pegs to fall out and get lost, storage cover that would fall off and allow the pages to get lost. You get the idea. This nice board closes securely, the pegs have their designated spot that does not allow them to fall out, the start, end and skunk lines are easy to see. The best feature in my eyes is the cream background that makes the holes very easy to see, even in less than adequate lighting.

   The only negative would be the size. It is larger than any of the other travel boards we use. The compartment for the deck is much larger than it needs to be, but this might be because the board has all holes on the lid, instead of folding flat to double the board space. All together, a very nice board and comes with a nice carry bag, too.

   At first I wasn’t sure if this was gonna be a flimsy product or not, but to my surprise it’s actually really well put together! There’s no visible seams, box has a nice firm close with the clasp seeming to be decently secured. Even the pegs remain secure in the box regardless of what position it’s in and has a beautiful finish on the wood. I would like to point out that the shown product (as of this review anyways) seems to be outdated as current models come with a “Games Won” counter and “Stand” markers like in the picture I’ve attached. I would have decided on this product sooner had I know that it had those features on it, but either way I’m in love with this board and am glad to have it as my official travel board.
