and the shipment was REALLY fast! Like a month earlier then expected originaly I played the game several tumes and it so fun. Even though the character's choice is odd, the gameplay and abilities are rather interesting. And every character card has 2 different descriptions on each side, so it can change for a game to game, depending on what character side you drew. Its also so nice to have a board game to play with 2 people, and not needing at least 3, so sometimes you can play as a pair of 2 order of phoenix or 2 death eaters to aim for greatnes, or be one of each and play against each other. Another great thing is the quality! Great plastic figurines, and the life bar, though odd compared to the life, strength and wisdom marks in the original talisman, this rotator mark is a space saver, though limited.
Very happy and satisfied with the purchase. Pros: Very Heavy and shows quality of professional board. Packing was great. 5-6 rebounds easily once it gets smooth. Striker included. Cover inlcuded. No cosmetic flaw. No cracks or chips. Cons: Mold on Carrommen. No Powder included.
This is a quality travel chess set. Absolutely beautiful. You can disply this one. The board has screen in felted brass legs. Not magnetic. Amazing detail for it's size. The nicesest folding set under 18" out there. The quality is unmatched. I was recently disappointed with a 13" set I purchased from House of Staunton. This was not a dissapointment at all. The only wonky thing was only one rook had the House of Chess stampoù but I really don't care about that.
Great game, unfortunately the starter box contains resin aircraft and they were not secure. Box was pretty neat up and two aircraft were broken.
I don’t want to waste resources to send the whole game back. I like the game and I will keep it. Can someone contact me to just send me this one piece please? The game came with the exact amount that it needs so I need a replacement but I prefer to not have to go through the trouble of returning the whole game and wasting the boxes and gas it takes to do that. When it arrived it was broken. I didn’t see it until a few weeks later because I was alway. I would like to fix it but don’t know where to look for it.
Came with Missing 2 Boxes ...
My 17 yo son made a chessboard in class at school so we were looking for a unique set of chessmen to go with it. When we found these we knew this was what we were looking for! When they came in the mail, and we saw them in person, we were so pleased. They were exactly as described and just look awesome with his board. Very happy with this set and would purchase again.
These are great, and a "must-have" for Terraforming Mars. The quality is great for the price, which itself is pretty good for 5 of these things. My suggestions for improvement: (1) Somehow make the numbers in the squares a different color so they're more easily readable (I know this is not easily done for something of this price point, but maybe someone smarter can figure it out) (2) Put a couple very small rubber feet on the back so they don't slide around the player mat. Not adhesive, just something with some grab to it. I fully admit I could do this myself, and I probably will, that's why I'm not knocking it a star or anything. (3) I think I'd prefer them all to be white, so the cube colors would stand out more. Having them coordinated with the player's colors doesn't really add anything to the game, and only makes it harder to see yours (and others') cubes and where they are. Overall these are great and have enhanced the gameplay experience quite a bit.
Amazing and educational game, remind me our childhood classic snakes and leathers But much more smart, educational and sophisticated with history time zones. I can see my kids asking questions and get more educated. As an adult I’m really amazed from this game Me and my kids are waiting to play in this family’s favorite new game, my kids are less interested in video game and asking to play this new game all the time.
While, I'm happy to use the minis and they are safe, the shipping method is terrible.
What we love is that Stranger Things is a question category, and the questions are quite challenging! The flip board to the Upside Down is so freaking cool! Only disappointment is that the question categories do not change when you revert to the USD board. [sad face!] nonetheless we had a blast in our camper and the 80’s challenges were super fun!!
This is an excellent light to midweight game. The gameplay flows really well as you go through the days, adding townsfolks and gaining supplies for your wagon. You are trying to meet the town goals in order to gain favors at the end of each week. The person with the most favors, gold and cattle gets the most victory points and wins the game. The game is played out over 4 weeks. You have to make sure to get the items you need as well as the things to prepare you for the disasters. I really like this game and think it is an excellent addition to my game collection.
I was originally looking just to buy some upgrade player mats, but when I saw it was a reasonable amount more for the player mats+insert organizer then it was an easy purchase for me. Please note that the assembly instructions are very good, clear and simple, but note that when putting together the money cube trays (there are 2) that there is a piece that should not be glued. You should be able to pop this piece out and then insert it in the bottom of the tray to make sliding the resource cubes out a pleasant and easy experience (See smonex's video to see what I'm talking about). The instructions were clear about this but I wasn't paying attention and glued it by accident. If you make the same mistake as me then you may gently apply pressure to the piece to loosen the glue bonds, and then pop the piece out by poking into it with a flathead screwdriver from below. I was able to do with with zero damage and now it functions as it should and I really enjoy it! I wanted to enhance the player mats a little bit so I used a little paint on primer and model paints to color the resource symbols, which I think will help players (See my photo of how I painted). The glue I used to assemble is Aleene's Orginal Tacky glue, for anyone who was struggling to find a wood glue. It doesn't have too fast of a dry time, which I appreciated actually because I found it forgiving since I was working very carefully on the assembly. Just keep some paper towels handy to wipe the excess glue after pushing the pieces together. The assembly was pretty straightforward and easy, and there was only one or two pieces which I needed to sand very slightly to fit right. There was a tiny square of sandpaper included in the box which I appreciated, so look out for this and don't discard it thinking it's scrap. I recommend this to any terraforming mars player, it definitely enhances play, set up, and cleanup. And the look/style of it is appealing as well. Enjoy, be safe, and wash your hands gamers! :]
