   We bought the basic version of Qwerkle and found it to be too “flimsy”. The tiles were not of a solid ‘weighty’ make, more like a thick balsa wood. And it didn’t have racks to place your tiles, so you had to stand them up in front of you, which made them easy to tip over. And of course a tin box will age much better than a cardboard box. Although this was pricier than the basic, we recommend the Collector’s Edition for sure!

   The metal box containing the game parts is really neat and will keep the game intact for years to come. This collectors edition contains tile holders and a score pad which the regular edition does not have. All of the parts in this edition are top quality. It was delivered well packaged and arrived as promised. I would mention that you are guaranteed many, many hours of entertainment and fun playing this game and I would not hesitate to recommend the seller.

   I bought the cheaper wooden block version of Qwirkle several weeks ago and I’ve been enjoying the game so much I decided to upgrade to the much nicer acrylic piece set. The pieces look and feel so much better, and they make the satisfying clinking noises like dominoes do. The game itself is so fun, a lot of strategy involved but just enough “luck of the draw” that new players may still have a chance to beat a more seasoned veteran player. The scoring can be a little tedious, especially during plays that involve calculating multiple lines; I strongly suggest downloading a scorekeeper app to make keeping score less of a chore.

   The acrylic tiles are good and the added tile holders are nice . But we bought the game a month ago and the vinyl, p.o.s, bag they included with the collector’s edition makes the set not worth it. Why they didnt have a black canvas bag or an original white canvas bag just shows this is a money grab. MindWare do better! Go with original version and canvas bag.

   Great Game! I have played solo and with others, and both are fun.

   The tiles are of a decent weight and quality, and the symbols bright and easy to see.

   I love the fact that the game comes with stands to put the tiles on, as this makes it much easier to see and also hide from your opponent(s).

   The time is a definite upgrade from the original box, and keeps it all together neatly.

    Do not stop just GO directly and add to your cart. You will not regret buying this FANTASTIC Colorful game. The Collection Edition is fitted with a Sturdy Metal Storage box. Fun for all ages. You can modify for the younger players by using less tiles, thus a shorter game.

    We have a cheaper (not cheap but cheaper) wooden set of this game. The paint is rubbing off of the wooden tiles so I got this one. The tiles are a heavier duty and have a clear coat on them. She prefers the feel of the wooden blocks. This set comes with a rack to hold the tiles, a score card, and a Qwirkle painted pencil. The bag on this one is more of a cheaper plastic feeling bag with nicer print. The cheaper set has a cloth/canvas type of bag which gives it a more authentic feel. This is a nice, fancy set but the cheaper version that we already have is more preferred. It’s just that the colors are wearing out.
