   I am a long time fan of the Alien movies. Nemesis is quite literally Alien in a box. There are different modes to play such as solo, co-op and my favorite, semi-co-op. This game is unforgiving and very thematic. I love the sense of plausible betrayal from another player and the sense of atmosphereic horror. Due to the price tag I postponed purchasing this game for a couple of years but finally bought it and I am now the proud owner of this game along with a couple of the expansions. This game is worth every penny. There are never identical playthroughs, so the replay value is very high. Definitely recommend to any horror or sci-fi fan. You are looking at about a two or three hour playthrough depending on the number of players. The rules are a bit complex at first but once you get the basics the rules just flow easily.

   For starters the game is a lot of fun to play with friends! My only complaint are the damages to the box and rule book. I reached out to boardgamesweekly.com customer service, and was offered to return the game for a full refund or replacement, or to keep the damaged contents for a 10% refund. I would having given 5 stars if the games rulebook and box were undamaged.

   There is not a single downside to this game (unless your typical game night excedes five players). The main game is “semi-cooperative”. You must work together to survive. You could get knocked out of the game on the second turn, permanently. But you also have personal objectives that might tempt you into deceit, sabotage, and murder. There are also Fully Cooperative and Revive Modes that eliminate paranoia and promote deeper compassion and communication. There’s even a single-player mode! Optionally, the first player to die can play as the Intruders, making an already overwhelming enemy more threatening. Worth the pricetag, every dollar your spend is packed into the game. This is a well-designed and organized game box: a place for everything and everything in its place. High-quality and gorgeously detailed plastic figures, a double-sided game board (standard and harder layout), detailed instructions, handy reference cards, great artwork and more. A short story you can read aloud sets the drama while actually teaching the game’s flow. My group played last weekend, and we couldn’t help role-playing our characters. NOT our usual game night!! Intense with moments of screaming hilarity. If you like games like Catan, Twilight Imperium, Gloomhaven, etc. OR if you are a fan of the Alien movie franchise, consider this a MUST BUY.

   Love the game super in-depth lots of replayabitly. Several different game modes and the minis are amazing. But like many others the box came damaged. Mine has a hole all the way through. Which really sucks when I’ve been wanting this game for years and could finally afford it.
