The fact patterns make a lot of assumptions and the players need to essentially mind-read which assumptions the game is looking for. You need to know the law to play, in part, because the questions and answers are either basic (without recognizing important nuances that are tested on the bar exam) or otherwise slightly off. It may be worth it as a gift for a brand new law student but is a complete waste of money if you’ve made it half-way to your third year. If you are studying for the bar, just stay away. It will frustrate you and feel like a waste of time.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband who is a third-year law student. If your law student enjoys trivia (mine does), legal challenges (mine does), and basically geeking out over law (mine does!) than they might just love this game.
The questions are quality questions (though I found a lot of typos) and, if nothing else, was a great gift to present a soon-to-be lawyer.

However, customer service has not been very responsive. He misplaced the instruction sheet on Christmas morning. I have called and emailed customer service many times. Caryn at P &R Educational Games said that though she was out of town, she would scan and email a new copy when she returned. It has been 2 months and we still do not have the replacement instructions.
Update – Caryn just got back to me and said that she would send the missing instructions

The game quality was as expected but I never played it when studying for the bar. If you have a atudy group that has free time when not studying with other means it might be fun. I read through some of the cards and eventually gave it to someone starting law school. I passed the bar the first time. This was a neat novelty item that really wasn’t used but another person might get more from it.
