   very nice cards with points printed on them. A little pricey but this is what I wanted. Very fun game to play with friends.There is a holder provided for draw and discard piles so cards stay in a nice stack if you want to use it.

   I grew up playing canasta with my grandmother and aunts so naturally I needed a set of my own canasta cards. I chose these because they were the nicest set I had ever seen and boy was it a score. I hosted our usual weekend canasta tournament and everyone ranted and raved about these cards it was the talk of the night with everyone wanting their own set of sturdy nicely designed cards. I ended up telling everyone that I bought them from wonderful boardgamesweekly.com as I have never seen them in any stores. Almost everyone went out and bought their own set upgrading from their ragged beat up old sets to this new stylish set and are all pleased. I have had my set now for 4 years and couldn’t be happier they have withstood almost weekly family canasta nights, numerous spills, and my son since he was old enough to get his hands on the cards and chew them ( I know yuck bacteria ridden but when your playing this game your in deep concentration and my 8 month old was extremely quick with his hands lol). Well if you want a great keep your attention extremely fun game look no further you have found it.

   Canasta is a great game and is a lot of fun!! I would suggest buying the standard version though. The Deluxe Caliente version comes with a goofy plastic card holder that is not worth using, and four negative bonus cards that make it “Caliente”. We threw those cards out after a few games. Buy the cheaper one. It’s just the same- only without the expensive gimmicks.

   The game was not what I ordered. It contained only the cards. I ordered the deluxe set with rotating tray and rules. This was the second time ordering this. The second time I returned it.

   I play Canasta with a group weekly for years and this is our favorite deck. The kids love it too because it’s easy to see how many points each card is. Make sure you’re getting the box pictured. The last one I ordered was a different box and different cards. Somewhat similar but enough differences that I sent that one back. Wait for the right price – some sellers are greedy. We also love the little card turn thing you put in the middle of the table. Keeps the discard and draw piles organized and not spilling all over and you can turn it to each player as necessary.
